Always try another AI

This was weird but enlightening to the point I thought it might be worth sharing .

I wanted to make a formatting change to a formula that was based on Now() . I ask the SH AI and got lots of wrong answers, never did get a useful answer .

After walking away it came to me that I might want to give another AI a try and sure enough it came up with a working answer right off the bat.

The moral of the story to me anyway is if one AI gives you a useless answer more than twice try another one. Kind of like people in this regard , everyone has different perspectives .

Hey @Mark_Evans1! Welcome to the community!

Sage advice, for sure. And you make a nice connection to how we would ask around in a real life setting to get a smattering of opinions from other thought leaders. Good to keep in mind!

And in the reverse, I’ve asked Co-Pilot to convert PDFs to Excel files and gone around in an endless loop of it needing to know “just one more thing”. Then the new PDF to table option was released and Coda/SH did it perfectly, first try.

Yes, exactly my point. It makes sense to start with an AI that supports something else or Claude for general code, but never hesitate to ask another. And unlike a human, you don’t have to worry about hurt feelings.
