We’re excited to announce [we’ve raised a Series D round](https://www.forbes.com/sites/rashishrivastava/2021/07/08/all-in-one-doc-startup-coda-reaches-14-billion-valuation-in-100-million-raise-from-a-major-pension-fund/?sh=477c507dc814), led by Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board (Ontario Teachers’). We look forward to putting more power into the hands of our growing community of makers, so they can continue expanding the definition of all-in-one docs. @shishir Congrats and high-fives to the team because investment is a function of the hard work that all Codans have contributed. As an aside and a much smaller milestone, [Stream It](http://streamit.live) has decided (last week) to fully transition all documents and collaboration to Coda. We’ve been rag-tagging our personal accounts while we were designing and building [CyberLandr](https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-elon-musk-acknowedges-cybertruck-cyberlandr/amp/)™ and now that it is announced and well-liked by the Cybertruck community, we will always know that in some small way Coda made this [disappearing camper](https://cyberlandr.com) possible. When are you guys thinking about going into the space of [https://www.appsmith.com/](https://www.appsmith.com/) and [https://retool.com/](https://retool.com/) If you guys go there as well, one dont need anything else! You guys have the components, now it is just about allowing to connect to a DB as a data source, and potentially an API ---

Im using AppSmith/Retool for Admin dashboards, also for some DB analytics sometimes. Might also use it for an external mini app if need be. This can be to change a value in the DB but using buttons and search to allow non techies manage this. Without having to build a client also. Coda today is used for lots of organization, and trying to keep data such as OKR updates, User feedback and such structured, general written documents But It would be nice to mix this with our product data if I could connect the DB and show that data into my table. That would be very interesting on how one could combine live DB with OKRs f.ex. Or keep the simplicity of coda with a management dashboard of live data.
