Coda MCP is now available in public beta!

Hey @Maja_Overgard, @Christiaan_Huizer

My apologies for the delay on this. Had some obstacles that got in the way of seeing this before the weekend.

Thank you for the specific, real-world use cases. They go so much further than a vague ask, and I’ve made sure the product team has full context on this one as they think about where the product goes next.

MCP is still early, and the product team is actively tracking feedback like this as it develops. You’re not alone in thinking through these workflows, and the more the community surfaces real examples like this, the better. I hope to have something more definitive to share about where it’s headed. I’ll come back to this thread when I do.

I don’t know what to make of this, but as long as we get substantial feedback before Thursday, I am okay

I mentioned this in an earlier DM—I’m in SF now, and one of my hopes is to align with the team on how we can better align on the improvements we’re shipping, be as transparent as possible about where we stand on longer-term roadmap items, etc., and make sure everyone knows what the current state of the MCP is.

Hi @Ruggy-Joesten

What is the update on the MCP Write access? It’s a very big road-block that Coda doesn’t allow writing to a table when you’re an editor. It’s pretty difficult to explain to a client that “Editor” rights doesn’t give you access to edit, but only read.

If no update, can you please clarify when we can expect an update?

Thanks a lot!

I fully agree that the MCP team should proactive communicate on this important issue and actually on all relevant issues they got feedback on. I am sorry to say, but the lack of feedback that not help to promote SH docs to a wider audience.
