Hi @Josh_Unwin1 and our Maker Community!

We are 100% aware of this feature request for Coda, and have done some early explorations on it. In the spirit of transparency, you may’ve seen in our [Series D Announcement](https://coda.io/@coda/all-in-on-all-in-one-docs) that one of our priorities right now is building the next generation of the Coda editor. This is a _huge_ undertaking spanning several engineering teams at Coda, but will enable a lot of new scenarios and use cases when complete.

We’re targeting a Q4 release date for the new editor, at which time we’ll be able to add new editing experiences to Coda. I understand this means we don’t have an elegant, native solution for code syntax in the near term, but it’s something we continue to keep in mind while building the next-gen editor.

We’ll share more details when they’re available, and we thank you for your patience while we lay a new foundation to address feature requests like these. 🙏🏼
