I love the feature to filter table views from an interactive control. I would love to be able to control column visibility in a table based on a control as well. We’re a marketing agency and we use Coda for our production calendar. We use the interactive controls to filter our table for the different types of content that we’re producing. It would be super-useful to us if each content type could have its own specific set of columns displayed as we switch between them in the table.

Today you can set which columns that should be visible for a view, and if you opens a row from that view you can choose to only show visible columns. I think that idea is really great but I would like to see it customizable one more level, that is, you can specify what fields should be visible when you open the row.

Trying to have groups of executives “rank” projects, and they aren’t going to be willing to use buttons/etc, they prefer the Google Sheets way. So I was hoping to show their ranking column only to each one, but haven’t found a way to do that.

Hi, is there any way to hide any empty columns in a layout, I have a quite long form response, just because there are many options so there’s like 230 fields, but most of the time they aren’t being filled in, so is there a way to hide them if they are blank/empty

I have created a doc that would definitely makes more sense if I only showed some columns for a set of users and not all users. For example, buttons that should only be available for an admin user. I can disable the buttons based on some values, but ideally I would like to hide the columns that has the buttons.

The ability to show or hide values based on criteria, both in columns and in the canvas. e.g. progress bars, buttons, and conditional text. For example, a progress bar might show only if the value is greater than zero, or a button might show only under certain conditions.
+1 here as well. This is becoming increasingly important, especially with published docs and views other than a table (details, cards). @Piet_Strydom ’s examples don’t include this functionality (as far as I can see) and being a heavy daily user of Coda I can say I have yet to find a way to do it.

This was absolutely possible and a great feature in Zoho Creator, but I like CODA and we should be able to do it here too.
We also really need this functionality. We have a Kanban board used to progress loan application statuses and a column for ‘Amount requested’ and another for ‘Amount offered’. Depending on the current status of the application we would like to show one or the other. Right now we can only show both, or use a formula to conditionally fill a separate column and show that.
