Controls Keyboard Shortcuts

I know that there are some useful shortcuts already, but what is missing is shortcuts for controls.
I often need to add a date (is there a way to add the date of today? As Today() function would be updated each days?) and more often some checkboxes.

Hey @tomavatars are you referring to shortcuts for adding controls to the doc or accessing already-created controls? You can use the spacebar to access the control (once highlighted) and then just use the arrow keys to select the value you want.
