Feature request: copy/paste from cell/column linked from another table

Any chance that a feature could be added so that I can copy data from a column from a linked table into the current table I’m working on?

Would save my team loads of time on an archival project - still not possible as far as I can see.

Hi @Christina_Crowder,

If I understand your request correctly, this should already be possible.

Could you please share your document or create a dummy document and share it? Please also describe exactly what you want to achieve.

That would be very helpful.

Thank you very much and best regards,
Jannis

I took a screen shot here:
I have highlighted the cell for H/M other notes in Yi……… and I’d love to be able to hit Command + C to copy what is in the cell, but I get the message “Values in this column are calculated by a formula and can’t be manually changed.

I don’t really want the source table to be ‘editable’ as it is a reference table and we don’t want things to accidentally get changed there.

It doesn’t seem to matter whether I’m in table or detail view…. same effect.

Is there another method?

Many thanks, CC

OK …I think I figured it out. You can copy / paste if you select a cell but don’t click on it. I can’t believe that I didn’t accidentally discover this before. It’s been driving us nuts having to have two browser windows open to manually move things from one table to the other.

DOH!!!
