How to set custom size of cover photo?

Hello,

I am trying to modify the default size of the cover photo. I find it too large, since it covers half the page before scrolling down. I would like to set it to 1/4 of the page’s size (as it is shown if the page is viewed on editing mode, with the page settings open.

Does anyone know how to achieve this? I am afraid it looks like the size can’t be modified.

Thanks in advance!

hi @Luis_David_Miranda , welcome to the community!

would the function Image() be of help? It permits for setting the width & height in pixels.

Hello Christiaan! Thanks for the reply. Image() is indeed an excelente function but I can’t find where to insert it at the cover image configuration. The function works like a charm in the body of the document, but I am interested in the image that is presented before all the content. For example:

I can’t find in the options menu a place to configure the image size or insert a function. The only options available are:

  • Choose from Unsplash
  • Upload image
  • Reposition
  • Remove

Is there some other menu where I can do this configuration?

Thanks in advance!

hi @Luis_David_Miranda ,

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I did not read well. You cannot configure the cover photo via any setting.

I have a google draw where I prepare the cover photo to make it a good fit.

Sorry, Cheers, Christiaan

I understand. I hope the functionality will be added im the near future.

Thanks for your help!

I believe you are trying to reduce the HEIGHT occupied by the cover image.

This is possible by uploading a wide narrow image: eg; 5000px x 200px

The vertical space given to the cover image is then reduced significantly.

But you have to edit/crop your original image to generate one with the desired aspect ratio.

It worked! Ideally it would be most comfortable to achieve this through a menu option instead of manipulating the original image, but this workaround works just fine! Thank you very much Max!
