We just shipped two updates to the Superhuman Docs Slack app that should make it easier to work between Slack and Docs.
Add to Docs shortcut
You can now add a row to any Docs table directly from a Slack message, no need to leave Slack and dig up the right table. Right-click (or use the message shortcut menu) on any message, pick the destination table, map a few fields, and submit.
A few ways people are already using it:
- Capturing a bug report into an engineering tracker the moment someone flags it
- Logging feedback on a new feature straight from the thread it came up in
- Creating a task for a project without switching tabs
Smarter link unfurling
Docs links shared in Slack now unfurl using Slack Work Objects instead of a static preview. That means:
- A dynamic, real-time view of the doc or row, so the preview never goes stale
- A card-based layout with a flexpane on the right for more detail
- Previews that respect the viewer’s permissions, so people only see what they already have access to
Two-way editing from the card (updating a row right from Slack) is coming soon! We’ll share more when that’s ready.
