We have another fun update to share: we’ve added subscript and superscript formatting in Superhuman Docs.
You can now format text as subscript or superscript directly from the formatting toolbar or by using slash commands in the canvas. This is especially helpful for writing things like:
- Chemical formulas: H₂O, CO₂, SO₄²⁻
- Math and science notation: E = mc², a² + b² = c²
- Variables and indexes: x₁ + x₂ + … + xₙ
A few details worth knowing:
- Subscripts and superscripts work alongside other formatting options such as bold, italics, underlining, color, and highlighting.
- They’re supported in tables as well as regular doc text.
- Formatting is preserved when copying and pasting supported content.
- Subscripts and superscripts are supported during import in AI Editor docs and during DOCX export.
This is a small-but-mighty formatting update, and one more step toward making Superhuman Docs a more complete home for structured, polished, and collaborative work.
