Option to turn AI features off on account or workspace level

I don’t want to use AI. I don’t want to have a button in every corner of my browser that proceeds to waste insane amounts of water and electricity, only to fail at something I am capable of doing myself: “thinking”. I don’t want to have an AI chat sidebar popping up everytime I start typing something.

The solution is simple: Give your users the option to choose whether or not to use these features.
This is a potential dealbreaker for me. Currently I have all my docs at coda, but I will not hesitate to leave this place. Even if that means moving to libreoffice eventually, if that’s the only AI-free tool left.

I support this request,

not because I do not want to use AI (I use it a LOT and find it is the BEST use of water and energy in my life, given the HUGE benefits and money it delivers)

but because I need to deliver documents to users where they do NOT get distracted by flashy AI distractions that they click on out of curiosity, and then do mad crazy stuff that my doc was NOT designed for, and even mess up the doc (via the MCP tools in the side-panel).

So please let us disable the AI GO button, and stop popping up the side-panel by default.

I agree, AI is junk, Coda’s AI especially. I’ve never seen such a buggy tool pushed so hard for no reason. There is the ability to turn it off for Enterprise Accounts.
