Propagating Selected Timeline Layout to Sync Pages

Continuing the discussion from Propagating Timeline Layout to Sync Pages as I didn’t get a response there:

I have a sync page that I have structured for a specific audience. It contains 3 connected views, each with multiple views. Here images of each one:

  1. image
    A full and filtered timeline

  2. image
    A couple differently filtered timelines

  3. image
    A bunch of differently laid out and filtered detail/kanban/table views.

The third connected view correctly propagates the selected Layout for detail view to the Read-Only Sync Page, ensuring that the audience only sees the information I want them to.

However, the first 2, which only have timelines, refuse to use the Layout that I select in the source doc, always going to the default layout. Am I doing something wrong here or is this a bug or intended functionality?
