I was experimenting with Coda formulas to create a virtual file setup where the file name could be dynamically generated based on other factors. However, it seems there might be a limitation or a potential bug, as I wasn’t able to achieve the intended behavior. I believe it would be a great feature to have in the future.

I am creating files (in Coda) with variable filenames (I often include the current date). If you share a dummy doc that gives us an idea of what you are trying to do (and where it fails to allow you to name the file) one of us can probably help you. The screenprint you submit does not give me a clue as to what you are trying to accomplish.
Needless to say - this can only be done in commands that generate a (new) file of some sort.

I use the CloudConvert pack, which allows to give a custom name to the file you create.
I forgot to ask in my previous message: which function are you using to create your “virtual files”?
