Hey Folks, we are using Coda as an HR ticketing system. As such, we have sub-docs where other departments that have overlap on certain tickets (finance, IT) can view those subsets of issues.
In the ticket, there is a canvas column where we add details/email notes, etc. Essentially, we ran into the issue where editing canvas columns is not supported by Coda.
Has anyone discovered a workaround we could use?

there are only 2 workarounds i know of..
#1. use text cells instead if canvas cells - ie give up all the extra features of the canvas and allow only multi-line texts instead.
#2. use hidden formulas to extract the HTML from the canvas cell and share that via cross-doc. then use a pack to render the HTML on the other side. but that prevents 2 way editing.
right now we need to make a hard choice.
only cross-dox plain text columns and have users paste in URLs for attatchments.
or use canvas columns amd avoid cross-doc sharing of data (a single doc with separate pages for each department).
hoping this limitation is rectified soon.
