I am on the Team service, and it says automation is unlimited. I recently 4-13-26, just started getting random documents across many of my files start having failures to run. IF i run the text button on it, it runs fine. what could be causing this?
Is the automation based on buttons?
Yes, they usually activate a button that triggers updating on that document and there is one that is sending a notification . no table refreshes for cross doc, which i know causes issues. But the weird part is it is not every document that has this type of set up. just random ones that started doing it constantly.
Wait, are your automations trying to trigger an update on a cross doc table or any kind of table that pack table?
No. I know cross doc errors out on autmation. this is just to run som addormodiy actions from tables that are cross doc. IE, that table runs daily thru the cross doc settings only. but if there is new information it has a button that will move the add that data to a static table in the target doc and update the the source row to “Added” in one of its columns once a day. That is the automation part. And this was not an issue for about a month. It started just recently, and i changed no code what so ever. Some of the docs having this error have been running for over a year, no issues.
Automation Bot
Rule “Resets” failed to run.
This is the message. and all this does in clicks a reset button that clears a column on one normal table in the document. My worry is this is a bandwidth issue. But the team tier says unlimited automations. But could it be that i have to many hits going on at the same exact time? IF so, i can do some manual cleaning to move some around. But the error gives no data except, “failed to run” and in the automation it calls out, it just says Coda Error. no description on what the error was.
