The only thing I think coda/docs is missing that notion has is a way to have a column in a Table be another coda page.
I know the canvas column type exists, but when you have a lot of text it is basically impossible to use.
I also know you can add a page link in a text column, but the manual process there is rough, and formulas to automate it are complex.
The closest UI option that exists now is a dedicated detail view you manually set up to only show your canvas columns.
Might be easiest to just modify the canvas type to create and sync up subpage for each canvas column. Iād be fine with any page limitations that make this feasible, like not having tables in the synced canvas subpages.
TLDR:
- I want to click open in the canvas column (or new page link column type) and have it actually open in a subpage you can find in the Doc navigation.
- Makes it way easier to focus and large amounts of text linked to a table row
