Embedded VIMEO video does not show the full screen icon for the player

Is this is a known issue? If yes, is it because there may be multiple iframes going on?

I’m using Vimeo videos with the player set to turn on the full screen icon and it works elsewhere but not in Coda.

Without the full screen icon available, I’m forced to either make the video very large in the doc or include a link to view outside of the doc.

2 years later, I discover the video embbeding and have exactly the same question/problem with Vimeo :sweat_smile:
Does anyone @coda have a solution for this ? Can this be added in the future or is it a dead end ?

This is not a solution per se but Full-Page Embeds are currently in Beta :blush:

…But that also won’t solve this strange issue with “fullscreen” button missing for Vimeo video embedded in a classic coda document :thinking:

Hope that a solution can be found about that in the future :crossed_fingers:

I actually wonder if this issue (of the “Full Screen” button not being displayed on the Vimeo embedded video player) is due to something on the Coda side, something on the Vimeo side, or some combination of factors between the two platforms.

Interestingly, I believe embedded YouTube videos do display the Full Screen button in both Coda inline embeds and Coda page embeds.

So it does seem like a “Vimeo Issue” for that reason. Perhaps Vimeo would need to ann an exception handler on their side. Or perhaps some relatively minor tweak on the Coda side could solve the issue.
