I found quite a lot of discussion about this with various use cases stretching back to 2018. But am opening a new topic to try and reignite some interest and upvote it.
My use case is specifically to hide columns defined in a layout when they are blank.
I can also see that as a generic ability this would be a great additional feature. Please consider adding to the pipeline and prioritising to do soon
