Feature Request for Forms

eature Request: Dropdown/search selector for lookup fields in Form view

Currently, when a Form view includes a lookup column, all linked records are displayed as a radio button or checkbox list. As the referenced table grows, this list becomes very long and unwieldy, making the Form view impractical for internal data entry.

Request: Please implement a dropdown with search/filter functionality for lookup fields in Form view - equivalent to the search box that appears when clicking a lookup cell in the grid or expanded row view. This would make Form view a viable tool for internal data entry on databases with large lookup tables, and would also unlock the use of conditional field visibility (which currently only works in Form view) for practical workflows.

Use case: We manage a project database with lookup columns for Clients, Authors, Editors, and Organisations. The expanded row view handles lookups well but doesn’t support conditional field visibility. The Form view supports conditional visibility but renders lookups as an unworkable list. A searchable dropdown in Form view would resolve both issues in one change.

Is this different than what is already there?

Thank you, Samuel.

I was relying on the AI helper who said it’s not possible!

Oh yeah, the AI helper is pretty trash so I wouldn’t use it.
