Happy Birthday, Doug Loud! 🎂

Some people make a community feel like family, and @Doug_Loud is one of them.

When I joined as the “new guy,” Doug was among the first to say hello. One of my earliest Zoom calls here was with him, and I could have kept talking for five straight hours. Somewhere in that conversation, he shared his “Miss McGillicudy” test. If you can’t explain something to his fictional neighbor in a way she’d easily understand, you haven’t found the right words yet, so back to the drawing board you go! I think about Miss McGillicudy all the time. His anecdote has made me a better communicator, and I’m grateful Doug passed this little life hack along.

That instinct for making the complex simple is a big part of why Doug is such a force as an OG Coda Maker. He knows the product so deeply that he’s taught our engineers and product folks capabilities we didn’t know Coda had. Doug out here blowing minds!

What I love most is that he’s just as full of life away from the keyboard. Between the horseback riding and everything else he gets up to, he’s making us New Yorkers proud.

So if Doug has ever made you laugh, made you think, or made your life a little easier, I hope you’ll join me in wishing him a very happy birthday! :tada:

Happy birthday, @Doug_Loud !

@Doug_Loud , happy birthday to you, I really hope to be as active as you are when I am 100 minus 15 years old!

Thanks, guys! You are the ones who make it all possible!

Happy, happy Doug!

Hope you have a wonderful year ahead.

So @Doug_Loud, you survived another trip of the Earth around the Sun.
It gets harder with each orbit (I am of a similar vintage, so I know)!

I asked my dad, “What’s it like being 85?” He replied: “It sure beats the alternative!”

So… congratulations on dying (yet)!
