When working on a project, I often end up collecting a lot of useful links, articles, tutorials, and other resources. the difficult part is remembering where I saved everything later. I’ve tried keeping them in notes and spreadsheets, but neither feels ideal once the list starts getting larger. how do you normally organize external resources so they’re easy to find again when you need them? do you use coda for this, or do you keep a separate system for saving and reviewing useful links?
Hi @Isla_Brown
Coda (Superhuman Docs) is the absolute best for this.
The way that I do this, is to have a single table where I store all of my information. See the screenshot below for an example at my work.
The basic thought/note is in the first column. The Thought Type classifies between tickets, action items and several others. Cross reference allows Zettelkasten kind of links between thoughts. Detailed Canvas Notes opens a page where you can record detailed notes on the topic. It is possible to create templates for this column type. Parent and subitems allows you to switch to a hierarchical view of your thoughts.
This is the perfect PKMS system - perfect in the ense it is easy for you to build EXACTLY what it is that you need. What I have shown here is medium complexity, you of course can keep it much simpler than this.
But you can go as complex as you want, my full doc has in excess of 150 tables.
