Hi Superhuman Community,
I just came across Notion’s new Slides feature (also called Notion Present Mode, Notion Presentations, or Notion Slide Deck), and I’m blown away by how seamlessly it transforms a Notion page into a presentation instantly using simple dividers. But what really got me excited is the Notion Slides Databases feature, which allows you to create dynamic, data-driven slides in a way I’ve never seen before.
This got me thinking: Coda is already a powerhouse for dynamic, interactive docs, so why not take it a step further with built-in presentation capabilities?
Why This Would Be a Game-Changer for Coda:
-
Instant Presentations: Turn “any” Coda doc into a polished slide deck with minimal effort-perfect for meetings, pitches, or sharing updates.
-
Dynamic Data Integration: Imagine pulling live data from your Coda tables directly into slides, so your presentations are always up-to-date.
-
Collaborative Presenting: Real-time collaboration is Coda’s strength, why not extend that to presentations? Multiple people could contribute to or present from the same deck, live.
-
Customization & Theming: Allow users to apply themes, templates, or branding to their slide decks, just like in Coda docs.
How It Could Work:
-
Use a simple toggle or command (e.g.,
/presentor/slide) to switch a doc into “Presentation/Slide Mode.” -
Let users define slide breaks with dividers, page breaks, or even table rows.
-
Enable interactive elements, like embedded buttons, filters, or live charts, to make presentations more engaging.
Use Cases:
-
Startups & Agencies: Quickly turn project docs or reports into client-ready presentations.
-
Education: Teachers and students could create interactive lessons or presentations directly from their notes.
-
Internal Meetings: No more exporting to PowerPoint, just present directly from Coda!
I’d love to hear your thoughts: Would you use a feature like this? How would you imagine it working in Coda? Let’s brainstorm and see if we can make this a reality!
