Images cut off in Detail View (Solved)

Images in a column in Table view are fully displayed but tops and bottoms of the same images in Detail view are cut off. There’s plenty of vertical space available but it’s left blank. Trying all the pre-set detail layouts didn’t help. Any ideas?

Here’s my page with the Table view above and the Detail view below: https://coda.io/d/\_dva7xAkxzT4/ChromeOS-Printer-Management_suFZvBsP

Hey @Andrew_Malcolmson1 this detail view has like a “cover image” column, that has a fixed height and blows up the image in it.

What you could do is instead of using this cover image area, use another area of the layout (or even go without pre-defined layouts) to show your image column.

  1. Go to Edit Layout

  2. Drag down the image into another area, e.g. title

  3. Your image should now be shown as a normal image container, no longer as a “cover” image container

Now something else happens:
This image setup has a “max-height” which means there is now space left and right of the image. But at least it is no longer cut off! And its supposed to be a thumbnail view anyway, where you click on it to go into spotlight view.

Best,

Daniel

Thanks very much Daniel. That explains the over-cropping I was seeing so I learned something. Too bad the “Visuals” area in the Edit Layout panel isn’t labeled “Cover Image”.
