Insert a Checkbox with text in a page

I am able to insert pages, and I’m using html. But, I tried various ways to ‘insert’ a text box with text.

I also tried html checkboxes, etc… but, nothing works. it puts into the page, but does not activate it as a checkbox unless I manually put the cursor next to the and press a space. Is there a way to insert this into the page and make it format itself as a checkbox?

Hey Ed, you can use the slash command /checklist to create a checklist item that you can actually “check”. Would that work for you?
