Wrong sort order for characters with accents

In the English language, the alphabet is very simple: it goes straight from A to Z, with no special extra-characters.
But, in many other languages, we have characters with accents, like: Á Ê Õ, etc.

Coda is not currently sorting this kind of characters in the correct order (probably something related to “text encoding” used at the core of Coda).

For example, if I have this names, the order should be like this:
Acácio
Álvaro
António
But, in Coda, the characters with accents are not being ordered correctly and this list of names is appearing like this:
Acácio
António
Álvaro

Another example. In one Doc I have this report:

It’s important to correct this situation, as in many languages we are getting our sorts in a wrong order…

Do you, international users, also have other examples to share, in order to help Coda team to better understand the situation?

It is on our tracker but not something we are actively working on, I have tied this post to the existing request so we can reply you in case it get’s fixed.
