Exciting news: Coda is now Superhuman Docs

This is the big day!

Everything you helped us build and test during the beta has led to this moment: Coda is now Superhuman Docs.

First, we want to reassure you: everything you’ve built in Coda is coming with you. Your docs, tables, automations, formulas, and Packs will continue to work as they do today. You don’t need to move anything, rebuild anything, or change how your work is set up.

And to be clear: your pricing isn’t changing. Everything in today’s launch is included in your existing plan, and Maker Billing remains as-is. For the full rundown of what’s changing, check out our FAQ.

What’s new is what this version can do.

  • As soon as you log in, you’ll see updated colors, fonts, and icons
  • We’ve rebuilt the AI features so they’re now part of your docs, not just added on
  • MCP is now generally available, letting you connect Docs to your favorite AI tools
  • We’ve also added table pages that give you more screen real estate for working with large amounts of data
  • There’s a new Mac desktop app, and we’ve improved reliability and usability on mobile

And this is only the beginning. Superhuman Databases and AI views are being tested in closed beta, and we have much more planned. The waitlist is currently open; sign up here:

For years, your questions, feedback, candor, and expertise — in the forum since 2018, in roundtable discussions, in our offices, and in direct conversations with our product teams — have shaped Superhuman Docs as it is today, and they’ll continue to shape where it goes next.

We also know there’s still a lot more to do. Not everything you’ve asked for is here yet, and we don’t want to gloss over that. We’re counting on you to keep holding us accountable as we continue building, just as you have for years. Many of today’s new features exist because of what you’ve helped us learn, and we’re grateful to keep doing this work together.

The new typeface is amazing. It polishes up the app and makes it feel like less of a web view.

But still…

The desktop app and web app just feel so slow. I work with Craft app and it feels so much more lightning quick. I’ve not tried Notion for a while and partly because it felt so crude. Superhuman Docs looks great, but I can’t fathom working with it on a day-to-day basis with a large set of docs+nested docs and not feel like it’s getting in the way.

Size and speed are things that are top of mind for us. We are actually in the beginning stages of a beta test with users on just this topic. I encourage you to add your name to the database beta waitlist, and hopefully we can give you a sneak peek into some of the new capabilities we are working on currently.

@Ruggy-Joesten I’ve already tried joining the beta, which I believe is discussed through Discord? To no avail. But it’s good to hear that is being worked on.

The newly launched “Superhuman Docs” (what we call ‘Superdocs’) has one industry-leading feature that is changing our business…
Its still Coda as we know and love it - only way better - and rebranded.

The new AI side panel uses the latest Anthropic models with a huge context window size (the working memory of the AI) and a very close integration with your documents using the Coda MCP interface.

This lets us build very complex Agentic Workflows using SKILLS stored in our Pages (written in English).
No Packs, No Formulas, No Automations - all done with text in the document pages.

It stores the results in Superhuman Tables - so the agents are part of the bigger no-code automation of the business operations.

This beats what can be done with Claude Cowork, Claude Code, Cursor, Antigravity, or even Notion Custom Agents.
Because we build our Agentic solutions entirely in Superhuman Docs.
So there are no fancy, cryptic folders of .md files or .json data sets.
It’s all plain, simple, regular Superhuman Docs stuff - pages and tables - and nothing else.

We built this particular use case back in April during the Beta Test Program - and the AI capabilities have only gotten better since then.
