Exciting news: Superhuman is acquiring GPTZero

:rolled_up_newspaper: Hey everyone! It’s officially summer, and we’ve got some hot news to share… Superhuman has agreed to acquire GPTZero.

GPTZero is the world’s leading AI content detection and authenticity platform. We wanted you to hear it from us first. You’re part of this community, and whenever something changes that touches your Coda experience, you should know about it right away.

We know you’ve got questions, so we’ll answer a few high-level ones below:

First, the big question: is Coda changing? No. Your experience stays exactly as it is. We remain fully committed to the product you use and love, and we have plenty of improvements in the pipeline. RSVP to our virtual event this Thursday, June 25, at 11am PT, to hear what’s ahead for Coda.

If you haven’t heard of GPTZero, here’s the short version: It’s a full authenticity suite covering AI detection, hallucination detection, plagiarism checking, citation verification, AI Vision, and authorship tracking. This is an area we’ve been investing in for a while, and our AI detector has been one of our fastest-growing products. GPTZero lets us move even faster. For now, you’ll find these features in Superhuman Go, and we plan to bring them into Coda down the line, so you can verify sources, catch hallucinations, and confirm originality without leaving your document.

And if you’re already a GPTZero user, it’s staying as a standalone product. Nothing changes on that front, and it’ll also be available through Superhuman Go.

You can read the full announcement on the Superhuman blog and the GPTZero blog. Also, take a look at Shishir’s take from his LinkedIn post here.
