Known issue: Sign in with Apple users can't access Superhuman Docs on the web

Hey everyone,

We want to flag a known login issue that some of you may run into after we moved Coda over to Superhuman Docs, and let you know we’re actively working on a resolution

Who this affects: You may be impacted if you originally signed up with “Sign in with Apple” and chose “Hide My Email,” and that Apple login is the only way you sign in.

What you’re seeing: When you sign in with the new id.superhuman.com flow, you land in what looks like a brand-new, empty account and can’t see your existing docs.

First, the important part: none of your content is gone. It’s all safe in your original account. This is purely a matter of reconnecting your login to it.

Why it happens: Because of the way “Sign in with Apple” works together with “Hide My Email,” the move created a separate new account instead of linking to your original one. Since Apple keeps your real email address private, our systems can’t automatically match the two.

What to do right now:

  • Steps for signing in on mobile:
    • Sign in with your Apple ID in Superhuman Docs — this will land you in a new workspace with no content.
    • Sign out
    • That should show the option to sign in with legacy Coda in the top right, 3-dot menu
    • Next, that should take you to a legacy Coda sign-in page, and when you use your Apple sign-in, you should see your old workspace with all your content.
    • The mobile screens should look like the following:

  • For access via the web, you’ll need to follow these steps:
    • Log in using your primary browser
    • Paste this exact URL into the bar: Login - Coda
    • It will take you to the login page below, where you can log in via Apple just as you have previously

From here, you should have access to all your docs and folders

If you’re hitting any blockers with this workaround, please reply below, DM me here on the forum, or reach out to our support team and mention that you’re experiencing the “Sign in with Apple” login issue. We’ll work to reconnect your accounts.

We’re working on a proper fix so this resolves on its own, and we’ll update this thread as soon as it’s live. Thanks for your patience, and sorry for the hassle.
