Superhuman AMA Thread: Ask the Product Team Anything (7/8/26)

Hey Pablo! This is definitely top of mind!

Could you speak more to what kind of use cases you’d like to accomplish across the suite? And when you tried - what issues did you encounter leading you to cancel?

Ahh my apologies. This one is a forum-based event, but next week, we are doing an Office Hours event where you can log in and show your screen and engage that way. RSVP here if that’s of interest to you: Office Hours: Open Docs + MCP Q&A with the Team · Zoom · Luma

Great call out! Love to hear there’s no show stoppers, and would appreciate support in identifying places where we can polish the experience. Ruggy has kicked off a thread here to flag those!

Thanks @Gaurang_Ruparelia ! Good to hear from you.

This is on the roadmap! We don’t have exact specifics yet, but I would expect to see this in the order of weeks/months and not quarters/years.

Hey Seamus — yes, this is a forum-based AMA format. We have an Office Hours event next week, if that is something you’d like to attend, where you can share your screen, ask questions, etc… via Zoom: Office Hours: Open Docs + MCP Q&A with the Team · Zoom · Luma

Coda is far behind the competition after the AI boom (Notion, Replit become much better in no-code app development and agentic AI). Development cycles are not reflecting the right use of state of art AI tools either. What’s the plan to fix this? Is there any credible roadmap for improving this situation?

“Fun” question for the team:
Do you have a favorite or memorable use case, creative workflow, or clever formula from Coda that you’re especially proud of?

Thanks Bharat for the reply.

While I can understand that some engineering people think its ok to be ‘flexible’ about which model and orchestration is applied where and when based on the task at hand, the direction of the wind, and where mars is on its cycle; in the real world where serious consequences ensue from using AI enhanced business workflows … well… ITS NOT OK!

People building such automations need to know in advance how much context window they have and roughly what the IQ of the LLM will be when the inference is run.

We are working hard to reduce stochastic variability in inferences and maxamise determinism. So its bad if we do not know which model family and generation we are using. But its WORSE when it varies from time to time.

Notion lets us choose which model to use - so WE get to balance the time/cost/intelligence trade-offs.

You are deploying a no-code platform. It is not a flipperty-flopperty chatbot. We spend a great many hours tailoting our prompts and skills pages to engineer the desired outcomes in our workflows. And real business consequences happen in the real world. Thats the definition of an AI Agent - it does things. So we need to know how it does its thing.

We need an engine that is dependable and stable.

So please do not go on thinking its something that Superhumans can decide for themselves and change whenever they like in secret. The impact on our business is too great for that approach.

Having said all that: the Superhuman Go side-panel is AMAZING and is doing fantastic work for my clients. But it is not available to any of our formulas or actions - so its just sitting there waiting for humans to type into it. Thats NOT how a no-code platform is meant to work.

Hence my obsession with making the AI columns in tables work just as well.

Nearly there! So close! Just a little bit to go!

but well done overall

Hey Max, yes! We love hackathons. The AI one was super fun and also much too long ago. We’ve actually been discussing doing something like this soon when AI Views are publish-able. Let’s do it!

Are there any flavors of this that would especially excite you? And if you or others are interested in helping us organize this, please reach out. Would love to run this with you all!

Hey Brandon, thanks for asking! Yes this becomes very possible and we have actually prototyped it. Is something like what I shared in this video close to what you had in mind?

Great question Uri!

Here is our main help center article that has questions and answers on plans and billing. And another on upgrading your Superhuman Docs workspace.

If your workspace is not yet bundled with Superhuman: upgrading your Docs plan may move you into the Superhuman bundle, depending on your workspace’s eligibility. We’ll determine eligibility automatically - you don’t need to figure this out yourself. Contact support if you have questions.”

The short answer is self-serve customers are able to upgrade to the bundle.

To upgrade your workspace, just follow these steps:

  1. Head to docs.superhuman.com/docs

  2. Click on your name in the lower-left corner, and select Admin settings

  3. Navigate to the Workspace plan tab (within the Billing section)

  4. Next to your current plan level, click the Upgrade button

  5. This will open the pricing page, where you can explore the different plan options

  6. Find and select the pricing plan that’s right for you.

  7. Follow the prompts to confirm your billing details, enter your payment information, and finalize the upgrade.

Today I asked the Docs AI to create me a canvas button and place it inside a certain page. The problem was that particular page was a table page, and I was not able to retrieve the button, even though I could see it from the document settings and the only way I had was to ask the AI to delete it and re-created in another page. My question is is there a way of reverting a table once he’s been converted into a page table?

Hi, @John_Grasty - thank you for raising this, and I’m sorry for the frustration here. For account-specific upgrade path questions, especially around Legacy Coda Enterprise and moving into Superhuman Suite, the best next step is to contact the Docs Care team at care@superhuman.com so they can look at your workspace and eligibility directly.

This help center article walks through the current upgrade flow and options.

If the self-serve path doesn’t work for your workspace, the care team is the right team to clarify which options are available.

Will let the Coda (I mean, Superhuman) team reply in more detail, but flagging that in general, Coda docs assume anyone in the doc can view all the data in the doc. Before the addition of the AI sidebar, your employees could already access each others’ information if they knew where to look. Within a doc, you can tuck things away, but not truly hide them from a knowledgeable user.

The HubSpot connector pack is foundational to how we run our business on Superhuman. We sync our HubSpot customer records into a doc table and then associate the companies to our project/task/HR tables to run our client work. What’s on the future roadmap for the HubSpot connection? (Also, any roadmap for the Salesforce connector while we’re at it?)

Any recommendations on migrating a traditional table to a page table? I have a traditional base table with a couple dozen views of it. I’d like some of them to be page table views, which I gather means the base table must be a page table.
