I get that AI is all the rage right now, but I really wish Coda/Superhuman would focus on features that have been promised for a long time now. This article discussed four stages, the final one allowing us to sync an individual page from a much larger document and grant edit rights only to that synced page without having to grant edit rights to the main document. I have been waiting and waiting for this option.

I currently have a doc with multiple pages. On one of the pages we need users to be able to update their own information in the table. The information from that table is used throughout the rest of the document. A select few need edit access to the main document, but we don’t want the majority of the users altering the rest of the information. I have synced the one page where the majority of users need to update, but frustratingly I have to also give all users edit rights to the main doc so they can edit the shared information. So basically, our only option is security through obscurity, achieved by not notifying the users when we grant them edit rights to the main doc. This solution is inadequate. If you can’t fix this issue we will have to start looking at other options.
