10/20/26 SH Community Office Hours Recap

Thanks to everyone who joined today! It was a great, free-flowing session. We covered Packs vs. AI agents, forms, project management in Docs, and how to give agents better context about your tables. A big thank you to @Rocky_Moon1 from our Product Education team for helping to steer the ship :ship:

Some highlights

  • A live breakthrough: @Brandon_Trinckes3 built a Gantt timeline with an AI View in under two minutes, mid-call. It included a milestone tab and an AI-written risk briefing, and it had no milestone lines (which got a cheer).
  • Taming a long form: @Michelle_A_Horn shared a 50-page client checklist form that could benefit from a better UI. The group landed on a few approaches: make the last question in each section reveal the next section, use dropdowns instead of long radio lists, and add a required “Done” checkbox so people know when they’re submitting.
  • Anonymous forms: Sometimes you need anonymous replies, but as @Kayla_Taras3 pointed out, the default settings make that difficult (or sometimes impossible). We tested submitting in an incognito window live. It came through as an external submission, so it worked as a workaround, but it’s not a perfect solution. We will take this back to the team and see if a fix is on the way.
  • Packs vs. agents: @Brandon_Trinckes3, @William, @Melanie_Teh and @Rocky_Moon1 talked through the tradeoff between accessibility (agents) and scale, token efficiency, and security (Packs).

Still open, and we’ll circle back

  • Making forms anonymous by default, without relying on respondents to opt in
  • A native table description, so agents don’t have to infer a table’s purpose from its columns
  • Milestone lines and stacked Gantt rows on Timeline, plus easier predecessor logic
  • Multi-page forms, progress indicators, and a “you haven’t finished” warning before submit
  • How Packs will evolve over time as MCP, AI views, and Superhuman Go emerge as new ways to build

I’ll bring these to the team and report back here.

Everyone is welcome to share thoughts on any of these below. If you have a Docs question for the next live session, we hope to see you on November 17th at 2pm ET!
