I’ve noticed recently that you can vote most first posts, but not like them. Doesn’t seem to be the intended behaviour other than in ‘Product Feedback’. Not sure if it happens in all post types, I haven’t checked them all.

What you’re seeing is tied to how voting works in certain categories. When voting is enabled, the first post is treated as the thing being prioritized, so votes replace likes there, while replies can still be liked as normal.
That said, you’re also right that this shouldn’t be happening everywhere. Voting is really only meant for areas like Product Feedback and Bugs where prioritization matters—not every post needs to be something you can vote on.
We took a look and made an adjustment so voting is now scoped more appropriately. If you continue to see anything that feels off, definitely keep it coming.

One thing that I am not getting used to is the really big banner on the landing page? It would be really nice if it could be made a little narrower.

I too find that the overall layout will benefit by reducing the paddings and spacing between different elments of the UI.
Attached is a super quick and rough edit to show the effect before/after.

I agree! They would be minimal adjustments that don’t change the overall design direction; instead they improve the user experience. I’m quite sure that Discourse even allow to have user toggles for density, light/dark mode etc..

Reducing “Welcome to the Superhuman Community” to a single line would also make a huge difference.

Thanks for the feedback! The banner is actually responsive, so it automatically adjusts its size based on the device and screen width. On mobile it can appear larger since the heading wraps to multiple lines, but on wider screens like desktop it stays much more compact. Hopefully that helps explain what you’re seeing, but if not, please let me know.

Hi Ruggy,
On my laptop, the banner takes up the whole screen, on my desktop I can see three messages. It would be great if there was a switch that repeat visitors could use to switch off the banner.

A small detail: I think posters shouldn’t be able to like their own posts. And I would prefer if the heart would be solid yellow, it’s not very visible at the moment.

The cookie banner always appears in embeds. No matter if I have pressed ‘Accept All’ or ‘Reject All’, upon refreshing the page or visiting a new one it always comes back.

Hey @Pablo_DV — just to confirm, is this issue separate from the community refresh? It looks like the screenshot might be from a different surface, so I want to make sure I’m understanding what you’re flagging.

it happens in older conversations where people embedded Coda docs in the thread. I also get that cookie banner reappearing, plus the navigation bar seems to run crazy sometimes because of the refresh of those embeds. As Diego said, it happens when someone embeds a Coda doc in a message. I’m quite sure this was not the case before switching from Coda to Superhuman.
This doesn’t happen only on old messages, I recently wrote a message with an embedded a doc and still happens.

I’ve felt this way several times already so I’d like to share it. This Like button is confusing for me. I’m so accustomed to it being outlined and only becoming full when clicked that in the past few weeks I’ve been clicking it just to check if I’ve actually used it. This illustrates how difficult it can be to change habits and perhaps I’m not alone. Of course, it would be great to be able to interact with emojis as well (not just hearts).

Back when I wrote this message it was only a purple outline when unliked and a yellow outline when liked.
I meant that the yellow outline was not very visible, so I suggested to make the liked state solid yellow, but then it became also solid purple when not liked which I agree can be confusing.
I would vote for purple outline and solid yellow, but purple outline and solid purple would be also fine for me.
