If you recall, we recently combed through as many feature requests as we could find, dating back to the early days of this forum, to get a clearer picture of what this community has asked for over the years, what has shipped, and where some of those requests stand today.
For the sake of transparency, I teamed up with members of our product team to get the most realistic perspective possible on what you’ve asked for, what we’ve already shipped, what has been addressed in some form, and what is actively in motion.
That said, roadmap language can shift as priorities, technical constraints, and customer needs evolve. So for this update, we’re focusing on the things we can speak to most clearly: what has shipped, what has been meaningfully improved or addressed in another way, and what is live, in progress, or coming soon.
Most importantly: thank you. Your posts, votes, examples, screenshots, and follow-up comments have helped shape a lot of what Superhuman has become.
Please bookmark this page and check back often, as we plan to treat it as a living artifact that will be updated as more products ship that have stemmed directly from feature requests in this forum.
Shipped or now available
A number of long-standing requests from the community have since shipped or are now available in some form:
- Upload custom icons for sections
- Upload our own icons
- Simple tables with format options
- Code block syntax highlighting
- Further localization of currencies and numbers
- European date formats default option
- First day of the week Monday/Sunday
- Default currency format
- Request for date formats that match most localization patterns
- Set default date format for a document
- Global date formatting option for a doc
- Comments in formulas
- Ability to make comments in formulas
- Copy to clipboard button/function
- Function for CSV generation/export
- Custom domain for a doc
- Product feature: allow use of a custom domain
- Non database table
- Fullscreen expanded row modals
- Prevent deleting rows
- Include the name of the automation which failed to run
- Toggle table/database views like in Notion to save space in docs
Some of these may not have shipped in exactly the original form suggested, but the underlying need has been addressed or meaningfully improved.
Live, in progress, or coming soon
Some requests are either live in some form, actively being worked on, or tied to ongoing work:
- Desktop applications: Mac desktop app is coming soon; Windows is still TBD.
- Add Subfolders / Nested Folders
- Subfolders + Public Feature Roadmap
- Ability to have nested folder hierarchy in workspace & granular folder permissions
- Mobile widget and buttons
- Grammarly support
- Ability to hide or unhide column on layout dependent upon setting
- Vertical Lines in Tables
We’ll keep sharing more as these areas progress. In some cases, the final implementation may look different from the original request, but the underlying problems are ones we’re actively working through.
A few notes on how we’re thinking about this
A few themes came up again and again:
- People want more control over formatting, styling, and presentation.
- Many makers want more powerful permissions and locking models.
- Timeline, calendar, and form improvements remain recurring asks.
- Localization, language, and regional settings matter deeply to international teams.
- Several older requests have since been solved in ways different from those originally proposed.
There are many more requests we’re still evaluating, and we’ll continue sharing updates as plans become more concrete. Votes help, but the most useful posts also include clear examples, screenshots, business impact, and the workaround you’re using today.
