I am considering purchasing a Superhuman Business subscription. However, several important features are still missing from Superhuman Docs, so I would need to continue using Airtable and Google Sheets alongside it.
Managing and paying for Airtable, Google Sheets, and Superhuman Docs at the same time creates unnecessary complexity. I would prefer to use one subscription and manage my databases, inventory, attachments, operational data, and collaboration workflows in one place.
The following features would make Superhuman Docs much closer to a complete Airtable and Google Sheets replacement.
1. Multi-image carousel in Cards, Gallery, Interface, and Detail views
Airtable handles attachment galleries extremely well. When several images are added to one attachment field, they can be displayed as a slider or carousel inside an Interface.
Users can move between the images using left and right arrows without opening every image separately.
Ideally, a card containing multiple images should support:

A configurable primary image

Crop, fit, and aspect-ratio settings

Manual image ordering
This would be especially useful for inventory, product catalogs, property listings, customer submissions, and any database where one record contains multiple photos.
2. Direct cell-level edit history
Google Sheets allows me to right-click an individual cell and select “Show edit history.” This makes it very easy to see who changed that specific value, when it was changed, and what the previous value was. In many cases, I can inspect changes made years earlier.
3. Filtering by text color, including colored text fragments inside a cell
Google Sheets supports filtering and sorting by text color or cell color. I use text colors as lightweight visual tags.
For example, a single cell may contain several pieces of information, with each one displayed in a different color:

I would like Superhuman Docs to support rich-text filtering that can detect differently colored words or text fragments within the same cell.
4. Separate comments and notes for individual cells, with global search
Google Sheets allows users to add both a comment and a note to an individual cell. These serve different purposes:

Comments are useful for discussions, replies, mentions, and notifications.

Notes are useful for lightweight information that does not need a discussion thread or notification.
5. Smarter date picker with quick date actions and natural-language input
ClickUp provides convenient quick actions when editing a date, such as:

I would like similar quick date controls in Superhuman Docs.
The date picker could include configurable shortcuts such as:

The entered phrase should be converted into a proper date and time while respecting the user’s timezone and locale.
6. Show and edit fields from related records without creating Lookup columns
Fibery introduced a very useful relational database feature called “Show Fields from relation without Lookup.”
It allows fields belonging to a related entity to be displayed directly inside the current table or entity view. More importantly, these fields remain editable.
I would like similar functionality in Superhuman Docs.
Editing the customer’s phone number from the Orders table should immediately update the original record in the Customers table.
Conclusion
Superhuman Docs already combines documents, tables, formulas, automations, relations, views, and AI in a very powerful way.
However, these smaller usability and database features are the reason I still need Airtable and Google Sheets.
Adding them would make it much more realistic for users like me to move all operational work into Superhuman Docs and use Superhuman Business as a complete, unified workspace.
